San Jose Adventure Boot Camp Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up now?
Go to the Registration Page and fill out the registration form. After filling out the registration form, please follow the payment instructions. We accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards securely and online. Once we’ve received your registration information and online payment you will receive a Welcome Packet email with all the information you need for camp and also instructions regarding pre and post assessments days and times.

What is the Pre Camp Evaluation?
The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:
1. We will give you an introduction to Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have.
2. We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. We don't care what the measurements show. It's strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.
3. We will record your weight and measure your body fat percentage. Again, the numbers don't matter. We just want to be able to measure your improvement. Don't be surprised if you see a 3-5% reduction in your body fat over the four weeks!
4. You will receive your Welcome Packet and Boot Camp T-shirt.
5. See you at camp!

What do I need to bring to camp?
You will need to bring one or 2 sets of 3, 5, 8, 10, or 12 lb. hand weights and a thick type of exercise mat. You will also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp. Optional items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens during cooler months. Dress in a layered fashion...even if it is chilly, you will get warm very fast!

What if I sign up for the three-day plan and then want to do more days of the camp?
We strongly recommend the full 5 day program for the best results, weight loss, and fun. However, after starting camp, many women realize how fun and convenient it is so they request to sign up for more days. In addition, they realize that the more days they attend camp the greater the results. In these situations, you will simply be pro-rated from the point you decide to join us for more days with a "bump" package that will bring you up to the full 5 day program or you may want to move straight into the Inner Circle Membership!

Can I chose my days on the 3 day program?
Yes, you may chose your exercise days with the following exceptions: Day One is required for all new campers. The first and last Fridays are highly recommended. Remember that we recommend the 5 day program because it is the whole program that we designed.

When is the 'Pre-Camp' Seminar and 'Post Camp' Evaluation?
Brett's Super Nutrition Seminar will be privided online so you can access it and other tools at your leisure. Assessments the Sunday before camp starts. The Saturday after camp ends is the day to wrap everything up with 'Post Camp Assessments.'

Will I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!

What kinds of people go to camp?
They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Some exercise experience is good to ensure your safety and a better flow of class, but not required.

Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date. However we will charge a $50.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable. Credit is not given toward private fitness training. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.

What is a typical day like at camp?
That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some light running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training and jumping rope each week. On special days, we will take a field trip to a different location. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! We teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability."

How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It's becoming common to see a camper go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first camp. Remember, everyone is different!

What will I do after camp is over?
You can get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Many (up to 80%) of the campers have loved their results so much they join our “Inner Circle Membership” which allows them to attend unlimited days at every camp through the calendar year while being automatically billed each month. It’s convenient and keeps on a ongoing fitness routine which is not only great for feeling good and looking good, it’s so good for your heart health and more!
